Granting Policy

• Through its grants program, The Abbotsford Community Foundation supports activities in the areas of education, sports, culture, environment, parks and recreation, health and welfare, youth and seniors which benefit primarily the residents of the ‘Abbotsford Community'. This is subject to the Foundation's Grant Guidelines.

• Grants are made to organizations which are qualified donees under the Income Tax Act (Canada) (including charities and amateur athletic associations registered with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), municipalities and school districts) or have an acceptable agency contract with such a qualified donee, and have been in operation for at least one year.

• All applications are considered on merit and subject to funds available for distribution.

• In general grants are awarded two times per year according to the Abbotsford Community Foundation's grantmaking process.
