  3. make services available without discrimination because of race, colour, creed, gender, age, marital status or disability;

Consideration:

Projects and programs that strengthen and build:

  1. benefit the whole community;
  2. encourage more efficient use of community resources;
  3. demonstrate new approaches and techniques as a solution to community problems;
  4. promote cooperation and collaboration among organizations, as an attempt to eliminate duplication of services;
  5. promote volunteer participation;
  6. stimulate the participation of other funding partners.

Process:

As a first step, the Grants Committee encourages the charities seeking funding to contact the Foundation office by email or phone call to discuss the upcoming program and/or project. Upon the initial screening acceptance, the Grants Coordinator will request a ‘letter of intent'. The ‘letters of intent' will then be further screened by the Grants Committee Members and considered for an application process.
